Branches and related equipment

'Blabbermouth'- Aspirating Foam Branch - Used for application of a foam blanket for fire<br />supression either after a fire or to prevent<br />spilled fuel, etc igniting<br />Carried on Fire 1
Hard Suction- Used to draw water from open water supplies<br />(lake, stream, etc) where no hydrants exist.<br />This is 140mm hard suction from<br />Fire 2
Inline Inductor- Used to draw foam from drums,<br />The main body plugs into a line of hose,<br />the lance sits in a foam drum, foam is<br />inducted using the 'Venturi' principle<br />Carried by Fire 2
Dividing Breach- Used to divide a line of hose<br />Carried on Fire 2
Fire Fighting Branches- Various Akron and Galena fire fighting branches, used for direct attack on a fire<br />Carried on all the pumps
Macron FMB (Foam Making Branch)- Used for the same purpose as the<br />Blabbermouth branch<br />Carried on Fire 2,<br />Fire 4 carries a similar branch
Standpipe- Screws in to a hydrant, hose plugs into the<br />couplings at the top of the 'Tee'<br />Carried on Fire 2 and Fire 4
Bar and Key- The Key (larger piece) sits on the<br />Spindle of the hydrant and is twistred using the bar, to turn the hydrant on and off<br />Carried by Fire 2 and Fire 4
'A' type Branch- 'Old School' fire fighting!<br />Still useful for applications such as making a ground monitor<br />Carried on Fire 2
Thermal Imaging Camera- Argus Thermal Imaging Camera<br />Enables crews to locate casualties, or fire<br />hot spots even in dense smoke - <br />crews still need to use proper <br />search procedures, as the camera<br />will not necessarily show holes in the floor!<br />Carried on Fire 2<br />
