Flying Proms Field Fire - 19th July 2008

Debris from the firework display at the finale of Flying Proms 2008 started off a field fire in a field on the South East corner of the airfield at approximately 22.20
Duxford Fire and Rescue Service Crews and Vehicles (Fire 2 and Fire 4) assisted by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue providing water, and a beater crew had the fire out in just over an hour (Photographs - Frank Marson, Airfield Manager, Duxford)
