Some of the rescue equipment carried on our vehicles

DeWalt Reciprocating Saw- DeWalt 24v Reciprocating Saw<br />Used to enable rapid access into casualties<br />when conventional means of entry are blocked<br />Carried on Fire 1
Aircraft Axe - Non Wedging- Used for making entry through the thin<br />alloy skin of an aircraft<br />Carried on all the pumps
Clan Lukas Hydraulic Combi Tool- Hydraulic Cutting and Spreading tool,<br />used for releasing trapped casualties from<br />aircraft and vehicles<br />Works from a hydraulic power unit<br />Carried on Fire 2 and Fire 4
Clan Lukas Hydraulic Ram- Used for spreading and lifting to gain access<br />Works from a hydraulic power unit<br />Carried on Fire 2 and Fire 4
Petrol Disc Cutter- Husqvarna or Stihl Disc Cutters<br />Used to enable rapid access into casualties<br />when conventional means of entry are blocked<br />Carried on Fire 2 and Fire 4
Hand Tools- (Top to bottom)<br />Bolt Croppers, Nail Bar, Crow Bar, Felling Axe<br />Used for various tasks in enabling entry to trapped casualties<br />Carried on all the pumps
Step Block (stabilisation)- The Step block is slid underneath the<br />aircraft or vehicle to be stabilised, on the black slider seen below the main block.<br />The blocks profile can be adjusted to fit<br />under the vehicle or aircraft<br />Carried on Fire 2
Harness Knife- Outside edge of the curve is flat and blunt,<br />inside edge razor sharp, designed to slip<br />between a trapped casualty and their<br />harness and cut the webbing of the harness without injury to the casualty
